IMPERIAL FOAM
Spray Foam
Insulation
Spray Foam (SPF) is a versatile product that acts as an insulation, air barrier, vapour barrier, water barrier, drainage plane, weather barrier, and radon barrier. It is an effective insulation method that has low maintenance costs, using a high R-Value to air seal the building’s envelope (structure) that leads to thermal resistance.

Open cell insulation is ½ pound SPF with low density at 3.6 R-value per inch (25mm), but does not qualify as a vapour barrier by code as it only slows down convection through and within the wall cavity. Closed cell insulation is 2 pound SPF medium density at 6.9 R-value per inch (25mm) and does qualify as a vapour barrier by code, stopping both convection through and within the wall cavity.
HFO (Hydrofluoroolefins) chemistry is a substance that will significantly reduce the environmental impact by 80% less GWP (Global Warming Potential) of both the ozone depletion and GHC (Greenhouse Gas Emissions). A blowing agent actively used in Spray Foam Insulation (SPF).
