Batt Insulation

Batt Insulation acts as both a vapour and air barrier. Vapour barrier stops vapour diffusion of moisture through breathable solid building materials, such as drywall and insulation. Air barriers are meant to stop airflow and heat transfer leading to reduced amounts of energy needed to cool or heat a home.

This product comes in rolls and pre-cut panels usually manufactured from fiberglass but also from cotton or stone wool. A flexible material that is installed between studs, rafters, and joist blocks to fill in gaps. It’s used to insulate floors, walls, ceilings, attics, basements, and crawl spaces. Vapour barrier and fiberglass can be used in Batt Insulation.
